The lowest pay permitted by law in Washington state will go up in 2024.

The state's Division of Work and Businesses reported on Friday that the lowest pay permitted by law will ascend to $16.28 each hour, a 3.4% expansion.

Minimum wages per hour in each state, according to the Department of Labor are-

– Alabama: $7.25,   – Alaska: $10.85 – Arizona: $13.85 – Arkansas: $11.00 – California: $15.50 Indiana: $7.25 Iowa: $7.25 Kansas: $7.25

Colorado: $13.65 Connecticut: $15.00 Delaware: $11.75 Florida: $11.00 Georgia: $5.15 Hawaii: $12.00 Idaho: $7.25 Illinois: $13.00

– Kentucky: $7.25 – Louisiana: $7.25 – Maine: $13.80 – Maryland: $13.25 for workplaces with more than 15 employees – Massachusetts: $15.00 – Michigan: $10.10 – Minnesota: $10.59 ($8.63 for small employers  – Mississippi: $7.25,

– Missouri: $12.00 – Montana: $9.95 ($4.00 for businesses not covered by FLSA  – Nebraska: $10.50 – Nevada: $11.25  – New Hampshire: $7.25 – New Jersey: $14.13 ($12.93 per hour for seasonal and small employers) – New Mexico: $12.00 – New York: $14.20
